The Library of Congress Classification is the system used by Rutgers Libraries and most large libraries to classify books. Skim the major categories, and then click on Z for the Library/Information Science classification schedule. This is how the books and bound periodicals in our field are arranged on the shelves on the 3rd floor in Alexander Library. Please note that the individual files are in PDF format.
