·        Children’s Literature and Author web site selected to be featured in our new educational Internet product called "5001 Cool Sites for Kids." March 22, 2000.

·        Children's Literature Page http://www.scils.rutgers.edu/~kvander/childlit.html Web site has been selected to appear in a CD-ROM publication called the World Online Digest (WOLD), 2000.

·        “Learning about the Author and Illustrator” was selected for inclusion on a CD-Rom and in the Crystal Composition Teacher’s Guide: New Rich Curriculum Product produced with the Educational Software Institute in 1999.

·        G-Links Awards to “Children’s Literature Page” and “Powerful Images in African American Picture Books Page” on February 27, 1996. “G-Links is a mailing list dedicated to providing Uniform Resource Locators <URL’s> of web sites of interest to people of color, specifically Black people. We are a guide to both commercial/non-commercial web sites and individual Home Pages on the Internet.”

·        The McKinley Group, Inc. Magellan for “Powerful Images in African American Picture Books Page” on April 25, 1996.

      “This scholarly site is intended for exploring ideas and information with students who are interested in youth literature, genre fiction, women’s studies, and related topics. On the youth side, there are materials for young adults, children, and the history of children’s literature. Each section or topic presents questions that can form the basis for further inquiries and research in the field of children’s literature.”
