Read or reread some of the titles that have achieved classic status in children's literature. As you read, consider whether these works are still of interest to and will appeal to today's young people or should be retained primarily as historical artifacts. Be prepared to justify your opinion in discussion with colleagues. Also consider how you feel about revised/rewritten versions of such classics. Wherever possible, I have provided a link to an electronic text version of the book.
