Robert-Schumann-Forschungsstelle e. V. Düsseldorf

The Robert Schumann Research Institute of the Robert Schumann Society Düsseldorf was founded in 1986 and commissioned to edit the new complete edition of Robert Schumann's works. In 1992 a branch office was established in the Robert Schumann House in Zwickau. Among other tasks the institute assembles and catalogs photocopies of all accessible Robert and Clara Schumann autographs. The web site describes the areas of responsibilities, events, and contact addresses.

David Kenneth's Clara '96

This comprehensive web site is compiled by David Kenneth Smith, a tenor and assistant professor of music (voice, music literature, theory) at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. It includes biographical information, lieder translations, a large discography, and more pertaining to Clara Schumann and events celebrating the centenary of her death in 1996. David Kenneth Smith founded a Clara Schumann Society and started the Clara '96 campaign, to promote the research and performance of the music of Clara Schumann, especially during the year 1996.

Out of the shadows

The Minnesota Public Radio looks at the tumultuous and extraordinarily creative life of Clara Wieck Schumann. 'Out of the shadows', a three-part dramatic radio documentary, is based on the diaries of Robert and Clara Schumann. It was originally aired on MPR stations in late spring 1996. The web site includes the transcript of the radio documentary, sound files of four of her songs (RealAudio 2.0), and a playlist of the music.
