- Publication of many of her piano works completed (Leipzig,
Breitkopf and Haertel).
Johannes Brahms, age 20, visits the family in September. He becomes her
lifetime friend and admirer.
Robert Schumann is dissmissed as music director.
Concert tour to Holland together with Robert Schumann.
