BASIC SAILING: Knots |
Double Half Hitch
|
This knot is also called a round turn and two half
hitches, or two half hitches.
It can be used to attach a line to a beam or pole.
It moors boats much more securely than a
clove hitch.
This is a simple knot to tie; pass the line twice around a pole, and then finish by tying two half hitches around the standing part of the line. A half hitch is the knot most people use to tie a parcel. |
