WEB SITE QUALITY

Through a project called Consumer Acceptance of Biotechnology Food in the US, Rutgers researchers have created a tool for Web developers, Web teams, or information professionals who are interested in rating Web sites for trustworthiness and quality.

Information Quality Project: Food Biosecurity

The goal of this project is to ensure food biosecurity by significantly enhancing the effectiveness of threat prevention, threat response, risk management, communication and public education efforts.  It is a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional project that examines all aspects of this important question.

Website Evaluation Quality Tool

  • Print Version: Make copies of this version to be filled out for each Website analyzed.
  • Automated Version: This Excel version automatically adds scores. Scores for any number of sites can be easily combined.
  • Code Book: This will explain how the codes might be applied to every question on the WQET.
  • Bibliography: Here is a bibliography of web quality resources.
