That's certainly one
possible interpretation!
The sliver of sun in the background
suggests hope. There is wind in the sails of the boat taking the
people to the land where they will be free. And look at the woman
with the blue and yellow headcloth. She is looking out at the
water and her posture says she is confident and not afraid.
