Professional Development Studies is the off campus outreach and continuing education program of the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies. We offer a variety of certificate programs designed to help you update or expand your professional skills and interests, enable a salary lane change, meet licensing requirements, or even assist as you explore the possibility of a career change. We also support the online Master’s degree in Library and Information Science . We understand hectic schedules, and work and family commitments, so we teach our certificate and degree courses online for your convenience. In addition, we have expertise to offer training to individuals, to corporate organizations or offices, and to governmental institutions in the areas of: Knowledge management in corporations and organizations, including multinationals; User-centered information science and technology design; Communication, including organizational change; virtual teams; group facilitation; technology in the workplace; media competencies in today's workplace; managing networks of people and organizations; and public communication/campaigns; Corporate social responsibility and ethics; Information science: optimizing access to and management and organization of information.
