The Association for Women in Communications

Mission: The Association for Women in Communications is a professional organization that champions the advancement of women across all communications disciplines by recognizing excellence, promoting leadership and positioning its members at the forefront of the evolving communications era.

The Rutgers University Chapter of AWC serves to connect students with women who ahve established careers in the fileds of print and broacast journalism, television and radio production, film, advertising, pulblic relations and multimedia production.

These interactions prepare young professionals for the challenges and opportunities that they are likely to face upon entering the work force. The benefit of years of collective knowledge also provides students with insight on the current state, and future directions of their prospective career fields, while empowering them to become agents of change.

AWC meets every other Tuesday during the semester at 9:15 PM in the SCILS Student Lounge.

Please join our Facebook group, The Association for Women in Communications, for updates and information!
