Edgar Bacon Award For achievement in journalism by a student from Hudson county. David Earl Memorial Scholarship For a journalism student who demonstrates outstanding academic ability. Eliot Frankel Broadcast Journalist Award For an outstanding student in broadcast journalism. Richard Hixson Prize For a student who writes an outstanding paper on the First Amendment or a civil rights issue. Van Wie Ingham Award For outstanding knowledge of journalism. Kenneth Q. and Viola W. Jennings Scholarship For a junior who demonstrates the most promise toward a career in print journalism. Flip Wilson Memorial Scholarship For a full-time journalism major based on academic merit and financial need. Richard Lane Memorial Award For a full-time student based on academic merit. Dick Lloyd Internship Award For a journalism major doing an internship in sports journalism and interested in pursuing a sports broadcasting career. Edward Mack Scholarship Awarded to a student with an interest in print journalism based on academic merit. Jo Anne Paige Scholarship For a junior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Albert Payson/Terhune Foundation Journalism Scholarship For a journalism student who demonstrates outstanding academic ability and service to the department. Arthur Weissman Memorial Scholarship For a junior who demonstrates academic and journalistic excellence in either print or electronic journalism. SCILS Alumni Association Scholarship Award For outstanding achievement in the JMS program.
