This morning's Washington Post has an interesting article on the problem of selecting age-appropriate texts for children - in the classroom particularly, but also in the school and public library.  Worth looking for if you are interested in children and libraries...

Coming up: Judy Blume, Sweet Valley High, and More

Last week Random House Children's Books hosted librarians and reviewers to introduce forthcoming titles for late spring and summer.  It was a four-hour extravaganza with over 100 titles introduced, each by the editor who worked on it, followed by a brief address by Wendelin Van Draanen, whose Confessions of a Serial Kisser is scheduled to come out in May.Here are some of the highlights from the
