Rutgers University Council on Children's Literature
The Rutgers University Council on Children's Literature is an organization of authors, illustrators, publishers, agents, and educators who come together (as volunteers) to encourage and assist new authors and illustrators of books for young people. In addition, the Council, individually and collectively, seeks other ways to create awareness of the importance of books and reading in the lives of young people. Our primary activity each year is a one day Conference on an issue or issues of importance to writers and illustrators of books for children and young adults that brings together aspiring creators of books for young people with established and prestigious members of the field.
